               Riau is a one of provincial in Indonesia. Riau located at sumatran island. This time Riau is one of richest provincial in Indonesia and the resources dominated by natural resources. Especially petreoleum,natural gas,rubber,oil palm and plantation fiber, but rampang logging reduces forest area.

             Often happens by the ocnums that not responsible and willing burn the forest just for personal interest. Forest fires are a crime that organized. The purpose for open the plantation.

            Forest fires in Riau that continuely also give the negative impacts to the people. Beside the people, bu biodiversity in Indonesia too. Population in Indonesia also will decrease. The following are the impacts of forest fires :

            First, the reduced number of forest plant populations. That species will be lose slowly if the forest fires do continuely. “acording to research LIPI in  Kalimantan , from 125 species the forest plants that identified only 10% populations that remaining. It means a half of populations destroyed” said Yuni in Science Center.

            Second, trouble a schedule of flight. The thick smoke that happen in Riau blocking visibility. A companies decide to not operational the flight because don’t want take a risk. Based forecaster BMKG, activity of flight in Syarif Kasim II airport  is trouble because there are thick smoke.

            Third, impaired health. Forest fires that give the effect to air pollution by dust get negative things. Especially to humans health. People can get shortness in breath, iritation on skin, while iritation on eyes.

            Fourth, global warming. Forest fires get the smoke and CO2 gas and another gas. Besides with the forest fires will decrease ability of forest as carbon storage. That things very take effect to climate change and global warming.

            Fifth, relation between another countries. The smoke from forest fires become the  serious problem not only in Indonesia but the smoke till in another countries. Like a Singapore,Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam.

            That are the negative impacts of forest fires. This things should get overcome if the government more resolute. The government must make a rules in give the bussines permit. Especially in plantation.

            The people should keep the  forest conservation. Because in the forest there are many another ecosystem like a species plants and animals.
